At MAYDI+™, we’re committed to making choices that protect and respect our planet. Sustainability and developing sustainable skincare products drives our decisions at every stage—from ingredient sourcing to packaging, distribution and how we operate as a business.
Planet Friendly Ingredients
- As part of our sustainable skincare range many of the active ingredients are produced using green extraction processes, which minimise waste and reduce environmental impact while delivering high efficacy.
- Our hero ingredient, Frankincense, is FairWild certified, ensuring sustainable harvesting practices and fair pay for local harvesters.
Sustainable skincare & packaging
- Cartons: Our packaging is crafted by a B-Corp-accredited supplier using FSC-certified board material. Printed with vegetable-based inks and water-based coatings, our cartons are fully recyclable and biodegradable.
- Chemical-free printing plates are recycled after use.
- Onsite waste compaction reduces waste collections by 80%.
- Waste card from the print process is recycled, and foil scrap from our logo is repurposed as fuel in the cement industry.
- Conventional printing methods (instead of UV printing) reduce energy consumption.
- Glass Containers: Our jars and serum bottles are made from 100% recyclable glass, easily processed in home recycling systems, and the supplier has an ISO 14001 environmental certification.
- Labels: FSC-certified and printed with vegetable-based inks, our labels are supplied by a sustainable partner with a net-zero waste policy. Their manufacturing is championed by a ‘Green Team,’ ensuring efficient, waste-free operations.
Eco-Conscious Operations
- Our warehouse uses 100% recyclable packaging materials, including recycled cardboard boxes, paper shipping tape, and packing paper.
- Operations are energy efficient, with low-power LED lighting and a paperless admin system, saving over 540,000 sheets of paper annually thanks to handheld scanners.
- We leverage cloud storage and collaboration tools like Zoom and Teams to reduce travel emissions. We print only when essential and prioritise digital workflows.
